It may be a wrap on Paris Fashion Week, but basketball season is now in full swing… so the hustle doesn’t stop. Happy March Madness! Keep reading for some of my favorite recent tunnel fits, and a surprising styling tip you’ve probably been sleeping on.

This past Sunday, the 98th Academy Awards took place in Hollywood. And per usual, watching the outfits that emerged on the red carpet was as much of a focus as the stage was. Granted, the night’s main awards are for categories like “Best Actress” or “Best Director,” but there are always silent awards given out for “Best Dressed.” Michael B. Jordan, who won “Best Actor” for Sinners, wore a custom look from Louis Vuitton, featuring a Mandarin-inspired stand-collar jacket and a pair of black tuxedo pants. The silver chain and jewelry were especially nice touches. Congrats to all the winners!

Athletes in fashion have been delivering across the board the past few weeks. Here are some of my favorites, but curious if there’s anyone you think we missed. What makes the “perfect” athlete-fashion moment to you?

It’s funny how nostalgia works: so many of the brands and trends that were poppin’ back in the day are now hot again. Take Evisu jeans, for example. The iconic Japanese denim brand was on a run in the early 2000s, being worn by everyone from Lil Wayne to David Beckham. I recently rocked a pair with an orange logo… BACKWARDS! 

Which leads me to one of my favorite styling tips: if you’re going to borrow from the past, change things up a little bit to keep it fresh. These jeans still would’ve been fly if I had worn them correctly, but wearing them backward made me feel like they were brand new.

I am honored to have been named to the National Geographic 33 — a list of 33 founders whose initiatives honor change and are rising to meet the critical challenges of our time. The work we do at the Why Not? Foundation is incredibly important to me and to receive this recognition from a publisher that has always been rooted in finding beauty and providing support in this world means a lot.
